The backbone of BACK Consult’s strength are its founding partners who individually have over 30 years of local and international
experience across all industry sectors including international development agencies.
This places us in a unique position to provide end-to-end services in governance systems, risk management, taxation, accounting, auditing, investigations,
due diligence reviews and acquisitions and mergers amongst many other services
The profile of our four partners is testimony to the vast experience and expertise
we have in providing services that are solutions focused and results driven.
Its four partners are all members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (GH) over the last 25 years and three with practicing certificates with the ICA (GH).
Two of its partners are members of the Chartered Institute of Taxation(GH) with practicing certificates.
Each of our four executive directors have held accomplished leadership positions in both private and public sector firms.
The partners of BACK have provided business solutions spanning all industry categories including banking, insurance, mining, manufacturing, utility and or service industries
Fiifi Kwakye, a Chartered Accountant, holds a practicing certificate from the Chartered Institute of
Taxation (Ghana) and holds a graduate degree in Business Administration (Accounting major) from the
now Business school of the University of Ghana. He also holds a Master’s degree in Accounting &
Finance from the University of Birmingham (UK).
Fiifi is also an Investment representative under the Securities and Exchange Commission of Ghana (SEC)
and also authorized as an independent trustee under the National Pensions Regulatory Authority(NPRA).
He worked with the IRS tax audit function for 9 years and rose to the level of Principal Tax Inspector. He
also worked as a project accountant in the Ministry of Finance and Economic planning on a project
funded by the World Bank, DFID and Government of Ghana for 3 years. He played a pioneering role in
the startup of First Atlantic Bank in 1995 and worked for seventeen years and rose to the position of an
He is a member of the Admissions committee of the ICA (GH) and a nominee of the ICA on the Audit
committee of the District Assembly Committee Fund and the Ledzekuku Krowor Municipal assembly.
He also serves as Chairman and member of some Boards in the private sector.
John Fiam-Coblavie is a Chartered Accountant, holds a practicing certification of the Chartered
Institute of Taxation. John was instrumental in setting up the tax audit function of the GRA and led
major tax audit assignments and forensic investigations of large taxpayers. He worked with Coopers &
Lybrand where he rose to the position of Tax Manager. He also spent several years in both Ghana and
Sierra Leone in top management roles where he designed, implemented, improved and managed
internal control systems with multinational companies.
Abed Botchway is a Chartered Accountant and holds a first degree in History and Political Science. He
set up the accounting system of then an embryonic Regimanuel-Gray, a real estate company. He worked
with Vermeer Ghana Ltd, a mechanical construction company as Finance Manager. He held the position
of Finance Director, AFGO Ghana Ltd then later Aviance Ghana Limited, aviation services companies for
19 years. He was a key member of the transformation of the company from AFGO to Aviance during the
acquisition. Mr. Botchway was part of the setup team of Swiss Port Ghana Ltd where he held the
position of Chief Financial Officer.He is now an advisor to Swiss Port Ghana Ltd.
Kojo Anyanful is a Chartered Accountant and holds a post graduate degree in Accounting & Finance.
He rose to Audit Partner in then Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). He was the lead
partner for many firms in the banking, mining, manufacturing and service industries. He joined the
United Nations 1996 and held the positions of Director, Audit, and Deputy Country Director in two of the
largest UN humanitarian agency (World Food Program) country offices in the Democratic Sudan.
Whilst there, he led many innovative programs that made the internal audit function of the World Food
Program a leader in audit innovative practices amongst the United Nations System which included the
secretariat, funds and programs, specialized agencies and the Bretton Wood Institutions.
Mr. Anyanful has a profound understanding of the theory and practice of risk and performance
management and has led the implementation of risk and performance management systems in the
World Food Program.
